A reward for a hard day's work

Take a moment to imagine a life shared with others. To find friends relaxing in the living room when you return home; laughing, enjoying great conversation over dinner. This comforting feeling found from being with others is not something you can experience living alone.

As demand rises, share houses are popping up one after another. Asking around, you'll also find that more and more people are talking about how fun it is living in a share house. For those looking to experience share house life first hand, it can feel bit overwhelming with so many choices available. In order to make the right choice, it may be best to take a look at the way you live and really think about what the share house can do for you.

Finding a place close to work gives you the luxury of waking up later, and you can say goodbye to tiresome commutes home. Living in a popular town like the ones seen on TV or in a magazine, there will be plenty of fun times to be shared with your friends. You can even make a little time to treat yourself for working so hard.

Just a few years back, it was hard to find a share house in an ideal location, but now there's always news of a share house opening in a popular metropolitan area. The women's share house we'll be showing you today, Flora Meguro, is newly built. Considering most share houses simply renovate their building, this was quite a surprise.

With an enviable location just a 3 minute walk from Musashikoyama Station, its lounge designed like a resort, and its top notch security, this is a share house every working woman in Tokyo should know about.

So let's take a look.

The Outside View

This cozy 2 story building is Flora Meguro. While only a 3 minute walk from the closest station, the location is a quiet residential area.

Although barely visible, the red door along the right side of the photo leads to Stella Meguro, another share house owned by the same company.

Each house has its own unique interior, so you should probably take a look at both houses when you come to visit.

The bright blue doors of Flora Meguro really make it stand out. The wooden fencing adds a sense of space between the building and the house.

Here's a shot of the post box. It's shared between Flora and Stella Meguro.

On the second floor there's also a balcony. It seems like a nice spot to relax and get some fresh air.

The Main Lounge

The dark tones of the lounge's furnishing add a sense of class, while the chandelier fixtures make for impressive lighting.

While they weren't ready when we visited to take visits, there are plans to add a full-body massage chair and large screen television.

This is the perfect place for everyone to gather and relax.

You'll find yourself in the lounge as soon as you step in through the entrance, making it a natural place to mingle with the other residents.

Here's a closer look at the chandelier lighting. Perhaps it's the warm colors created by these lights, but the room definitely has an air of tranquility.

Here's another look at the lounge from a different angle. Using incense to enhance the ambiance of the room, this would be a great place to enjoy coffee or tea with friends.

The use of purple here really stands out in the room.

The kitchen uses IH cooktops. Since there's no flame, it makes cooking that much safer.

The kitchen is equipped with all the cookware and kitchenware you'll need. I'm sure there are a few people who were motivated to start cooking after moving in.

Here's a shot of the sink.

Here we have the independent washstand. It has a simple uniform design.

The medicine cabinet has room to fit a few toothbrushes and other frequently used toiletries.

A look at the bathroom. There's one on each floor.

The toilet also includes a bidet.

The shower room also includes a changing room.

Here's a closer look at the shower room, complete with bath tub. If you decided not to move into a share house because you enjoy soaking in the bathtub, there's no stopping you now.

The Private Room

4.96 square meters is the standard size of the private rooms. While the rooms aren't overly spacious, the ceilings are quite high, so you won't feel boxed in.

For a newly built share house at this price, there are sure to be lots of people interested.

Looking at another room, you'll see it has a near identical layout.

The storage space is all under the bed, with a rack on the wall to put any bags you may have.

Here's a look at the hallway. The glittering of the lights add a sense of fun to the house.

This share house has everything you'd expect of a newly built home designed for sharing. Located close to Musashikoyama Station, the house also has a prime location with quick access to great places like Shibuya.

Not too far from Musashikoyama Station you'll find a great shopping district with nearly 250 shops to enjoy. Taking a quick look on the way back, it seemed to be only a minute away. With such a convenient location, taking a quick trip to the nearby cafe or book store on your day off is no problem at all should the mood strike you.

Many Smile Co., the owner of Flora Meguro, aims to create a stimulating environment for those who are chasing their dreams, a place where people can become who they've always wanted to be. With this goal in mind, they plan to open share houses in Shibuya, Meguro, and Setagaya. Also, they plan for all of these share houses to be new buildings within 7 to 8 minutes of their respective train stations.

It hasn't been long since this share house opened, but the rooms are already starting to fill up. Those who are interested, be sure to send in an inquiry right away.

Stella Meguro is also right next door, so it should be pretty interesting getting to see both share houses in on trip. If anything, these houses are proof that women's share housing is slowly on the rise, and doing so in style.
