大きな冷蔵庫が３つ並べられています。 他の入居者への配慮を欠かさず共用の冷蔵庫を有効活用しましょう。	キッチンの後ろには個人用の収納ボックスがあります。 料理をしたあとは私物をここへしまえば完璧。

備え付けの机と椅子。 長時間座る方はクッションが必要ですね。	こちらは収納棚。洋服を入れるか、荷物を入れるか迷うところです。

照明がお洒落だったのでパシャリ。 オレンジ色の照明はどこか心が暖まります。	玄関付近にあるロッカー。 靴を収納することができます。

Living room with an attractive atrium

The living room, with its Japanese atmosphere and open atrium, is a two-story building that is actually three stories high, making the seven-meter-high space feel more spacious. The walls are decorated with calligraphy by calligrapher Kashu Enohara, adding a gentle touch of color to the room. It’s great to have such a stylish place to spend time with your housemates. Attractive atrium – You can’t experience that living alone. An inner garden full of Japanese flavor       Socialize in the open kitchen The artificial marble system kitchen is designed to face each other, which is great for communal living. Mealtime is often a good opportunity for socializing, so being able to communicate while cooking is a great feature. The sink is made of scratch-resistant ceramic. For parties and those who love to cook, there’s also an oven and Tefal pots and pans with handles that can be removed to serve food straight to the table. You can enjoy cooking in a share house. It’s very appealing. The glasses are made of CRISTAL DARQUES crystal. You can also enjoy conversations in the kitchen and living room.   All rooms have a loft The rooms have an attractive sense of openness that exceeds the area. The ceiling height with lofts is 1.5 stories high. You can make the most of the room area. All rooms are always equipped with air conditioner, closet, mini-fridge, desk & chair. The Japanese paper blinds were custom made for the share house. The loft can also be used as a bed space, and is equipped with a mattress and a wooden floor. It’s a room where you can enjoy your own time as well. It’s nice to have a mini-fridge and workspace in your room as well. Loft space of 2 tatami mats.   A full range of pleasant facilities

On the second floor, there is a working space that is a delight in this day and age. This counter table is made of a single piece of cypress that was once used at the counter of a Kyoto restaurant and was reused as the top board. There is also an electrical outlet so you can devote yourself to your studies or work.

Also, bicycle parking is free of charge for up to one bicycle per person. The three shared bicycles in the bicycle parking lot can be used as many times as you want within 30 minutes for free with a membership fee of ¥1500/month or ¥6000/6 months. It’s great to be able to easily go out into the city, isn’t it?

There are about 80 free bicycle parking ports in Kyoto.	The balcony is covered to prevent it from getting wet in the rain.

Washing machines and dryers are available for 200 yen and 100 yen respectively.	The entrance is equipped with a smart lock.

Gozan Okuribi (Bonfire of the Five Mountains) is held every year on August 16.	In autumn, you can enjoy viewing the autumn leaves at Shinshou Gokurakuji Temple, which is about a 5-minute walk from the house

Living room from another point of view. The perfect big sized TV to watch a movie together is contracted with Netflix.	Living room is next to this entrance. It is nice to have someone to say “I’m home” and “Welcome back” when you back to home.

Have a great conversation make you feel warm.

A big wooden bar counter with a total length of 8 meters. Not only as a dining table but also open notebooks for work or reading books, it is the perfect height for an extraordinary mood. The position of the lighting is also considered one by one, and it seems that at night you can create a mood-like space like a bar. It is likely to be a place where you can have a good time with your mate while drinking and talking, and sharing a meal with your share mates. They also care about the number and color of home appliances. They chose a calm color so as not to destroy the whole atmosphere. Leveraging the expertise of operating in other houses, they adjusted the appliances to a sufficient number. It is a space where you can feel their care.

This is a “Senbayashi Shopping Street” near the station. It seems to be a habit to shop here on the way home everyday.	A coffee shop “Roman” which is is the “Senbayashi Shopping Street.” Omelette rice is recommended menu.

Get everything you wanted.

KAE OSAKA” aims to create a relaxing space with excellent facilities based on the concept of “urbanity and traditional town. Are you interested in living in a share house but worried about getting along with the people around you, or do you want to meet new people but lack the courage to take the first step? After my visit, I felt once again that the house will be a place where a warm community will spread, and that it will provide a gentle push to such people. This house is managed by Nippon Rays Inc. They also run other share houses, and this is their third house. They even made their design and furniture choices. We asked them for the recommend point of this house. In the “Senbayashi Shopping Street” that continues from the station, there are bakery shops, Japanese confectionery shops, and coffee shops that make you want to stop by on the way home.   The living room feels calm while being bright colors based on white and wood. Have a dinner at the 8m counter dining or watch a movie on an American style sofa. We made this house for those who spend a busy day going back and forth between the office and the house. We hope they can meet new people at this share house and share their luxury time.   Don’t you want to get both know new people and calm life? Here is the perfect sharehouse for such people. By entering inside and opening the door in your right, it connects to the main lounge. “Hitotoki”, the word used as the name of the shared house means “momentary”, but it also comprehends the theme “hito=people to=and ki=a tree”. This room is designed to make people gather around at the big tree standing in the center of the table.

Natural and warm colored interiors produce the warm and relaxing atmosphere.

Plenty of sunlight pours into the room, providing enough light in the daytime.

If you are freelance worker who stays at home, this is the perfect place to concentrate on your work.

Kitchen is at the far end of the living room. There’s lots of space for several residents to cook at the same time.

It is a standard system kitchen, nothing extraordinary, so you probably won’t need any help to figure things out and get to cooking right away.

3 IH cooking stoves are at your service. Since it’s not a gas type, you will find it very easy to clean up after using.

There is standard electric cooking items and tools, so you don’t have to prepare them yourselves. In the picture are coffee bean mill and brewer, enabling you to enjoy professional coffee at home.

Look, there’s many magazines about coffee on the living room wall rack.

Now, let’s move on to the bathrooms. Bathtubs and shower rooms are all located on the 3rd floor.

Have you been wondering what this wooden door on the left is? Surprisingly, this is sauna booth! You can enjoy sauna at your house. Isn’t it fascinating?

Bath tub is wide enough and will help you take a good night sleep after sinking and relaxing in it. Don’t you just love bathing?

Next, we’ll check the 4th floor! This spiral staircase will lead you to it!

Here is the sharing library where residents can bring their books and leave them for others to read. Lie on the floor and enjoy sharing your interests and knowledges with house mates.

You can take a sneak peek into each other’s mind by sharing your favorite books. It will be a great opportunity to know each other even more.

The books already prepared on the shelves are all so interesting with various genres and even picture books.

There’s a big terrace outside the window of the sharing library. In this extremely hot weather, it’s difficult to use the space in the day time. But at night, you can grab a drink or chit chat with your house mates. It can be your hide out space to spill out things you cannot say in public.

By the end of summer, you may even read outside with cool wind kissing your cheek.

As you can see in the picture, there’s a convenience store right in front of the house. You can shop whenever you need to.

Two laundry machines are on the 5th floor.

Going outside from the laundry room, you will find the space to dry your laundries after washing.

Lastly, let’s check out the rooms! There are 8 individual rooms.

The size differs slightly, but in average, 8-12 square meters are assured in every room.

Here at room 502, there’s this huge closet with ample of space for living solely.

At the room on the 5th floor, there’s window in the ceiling providing enough light at the daytime. No need for electricity! Not only the main lounge, but also each room is designed to implement comfort living.

While we were at house touring, preparation for the opening party has been proceeding. From now on, I will show you specifically about the party held on the day of shooting.

Going near the kitchen, I found lots of delicious looking meals set ready on plates.

The person in the picture is a special guest for the event. I will introduce him later on.

Don’t forget about drinks. They have prepared bar-like varieties including original cocktails perfect for the summer.

After many people squeezing in at the main lounge, the party started with greets from Mr. Hiraoka, the representative of Kizunabito. More than 30 people gathered today for this event.

This picture is just the moment of toasting. Look how everyone is smiling.

Everyone, from grownups to little kids are the guest of the house today. This probably is one side of attraction of the shared house, with people enjoying conversations regardless of their age, gender, or nationality.

Now that the place is warmed up after talking, I would like to introduce the special guest today. He is the famous traveler chef, Naoyoshi Motoyama.

If you’re a cooking-lover, you might have seen his book at stores. This recipe book introduces how to cook 196 country’s local foods, and he’s the one who supervised the piece. Mr. Motoyama is extremely busy developing products, attending events, and giving lectures all around the country. Kizunabito has offered passionately for him to join the opening party, and now, here he is.

The foods offered at today’s opening party were all prepared and cooked by him. Lots of local foods which fits perfectly to the theme “traveling” was lined up. He explained to us how he became as he is now by picture-story show. Let me share his story. He first became interested in traveling when he learned about India.

He used to be a chef at French restaurant but became obsessed with spice when visiting India with his costumer who was Yoga teacher. Once he came home, he started working at an Indian restaurant.

Since then, he has been traveling all around the world whenever he has a free time and learned and acquired how to cook local foods by communicating with residents. He visited over 30 countries. “Travelling Chef” fits perfectly for him.

Recently, he was consulted by government the ways to get rid of Trachemys scripta (red-eared sliders) which increased too much in numbers and has a risk of destroying ecosystem. As a solution, he developed a world’s first boil-in-the-bag food using them as ingredient. It was a rough path to come up with cooking method and handling the hard carapace, but eventually he made it into a product that can be sold.

Since then he has been producing boil-in-the-bag foods of local dishes and calling them the “series of fine appetite worldwide”, wishing to make lots of people to easily experience the culture of different countries.

I will introduce you some foods provided at the event! This one in the picture is called “Bhajia”, an African croquette with beans in it and tomato sauce on top.

This one here is from Romania. A quiet interesting putty made from paste of eggplant. 

Main dish is local food from New Orleans in southern part of US called “Gumbo”. Originally, they eat as a soup, but it goes so well with white rice!

This soup is called “Ajiaco” from South America. Potatoes, giant corns, and avocado is in it. Every dish was not weird at all as I imagined, and although some of them tasted unfamiliar, I found them very delicious.

After eating, we had original blend coffee of Kizunaya. I enjoyed all three flavors.

There were also some activities that every nationality or gender can enjoy. People concentrated on working them.

The event was a full success! They closed the party, not by Japanese’s traditional style of hand clapping, but by showing palms of their hands in a call. Showing one’s palms were probably intended to communicate the concept of this share house, such as connecting people and sharing values.

Recording the memories by taking pictures together! Many people from various backgrounds joined the event, and I assume this circle is going to grow even bigger.

They already have been running 4 other shared houses in Tokyo and nearby areas. The main feature of the houses run by Kizunabito is created by Mr. Hiraoka, the representative himself.

Reading blogs, looking into their SNS, or attending events, you can sense that the residents gets along so well, even with residents at other shared houses. The reason why they are so friendly is that Mr. Hiraoka is willing to enjoy with them despite of his position as an owner. It takes away resident’s hesitation and make them go jump right into the community.

Gorgeous facilities and comfortableness can be one aspect of attraction, but the main feature is the community that the house creates.

Big living room awaits you after you enter the door. It makes you feel like crying “I’m home!” out loud. With open kitchen, you can talk with each other when cooking. You cannot expect the size this big for standard house. Although the size, it is well designed for you to feel the warmness of the home.

On the left hand of the entrance, you will see living room + dining room + kitchen. On your right, there’s big shoes boxes. Everyone gets one each and can accommodate 4 shoes. Space with sofa and desk. TV is connected to Netflix which enables you to watch movie on the big screen.

Wooden counter space on the wall side. Use it when you want to concentrate on something. The whole view of living room from the kitchen. Great lighting! Surrounded by warm lights shaping relaxing space. Two nice kitchens. Big kitchen sink and IH function.

On the right side, there’s independent shelves for residents and 3 big refrigerator. Fashionable turquoise tiles on the wall. Adding sweet little touch to the kitchen design. New rice cooker, microwave oven, toaster, and pots. These are items to enjoy share house life.

Wooden floor and white walls. What’s great is that it’s a very big house but has warm family-like atmosphere. This is SEN’s entrance door. It’s very rare to find big size share house in the residential district. Simple black name plate of SEN. It fits right in the neighborhood.

They have big space for basin. This kind of layout and broadness is one of the good thing about living in the share house. Line up with your share mates and have fun chit chatting.

Laundry and drying machines, 3 each. It is in the isolated space, so you don’t have to worry about the time.

Room for one person. Equipped furniture is all the same in every room, but the colors differ from one another. There are some who think that you cannot require privacy  in share house, but this layout can meet the needs.

This room is dormitory style with a bunk bed. Share mate may turn into your best friend who can talk anything to each other. Entering inside the building, broad and stylish living room full of sunlight pops into your eyes. There’s big sofa and iron table, which are all custom made for the house. Carefully picked furnitures and items compose the room. The well balanced design enhances residents’ motivation to build their own community with respect to each other’s personality. This is what makes ZEZE special.。

Just like a model room. Modest monotone design with only the colors white, black, and gray used. Refrigerator, cooking items, and electric devices are fully equipped. They have shelves for individual use. Wide space is convenient for mutual cooking with other residents.

At night, the room turns into a bar. Ideal, mature share house life awaits you. Great space for 8 people to hang out. It is very fancy with the TV drama spirit! I would love to join! The stairways are designed to bring in light. Sunlight pouring in the house, making warm and calm atmosphere during daytime.

All bathroom, laundry, showering spaces are located on the 1st floor!

Sharing makes it possible for us to use better items. This area with simple white design looks pretty much easy to sweep up and seems cleanliness maintainable. By living together, you can expect higher rank environment and lifestyle. You will be aware of the positivity of sharing.

There’s still few newly built share house in Osaka like this one. If you’re planning to start a new life here in Osaka, this house definitely  be one of the great choices. With utilizing know-hows of running “Hostel Mitsuwaya Osaka”, I expect that mid-long term community management will succeed in their own way. For the sharing space in the house, there’s a plan to hire cleaning staff, eliminating burden and conflict among residents. You may share hobbies and your abilities, what you are good at, mutually with residents, and will be able to spend great time together.  Up to 30 residents can live here. Entrance is broad enough so you won’t feel stressed out with many people going in and out.

Near the entrance, there’s a concierge’s room which no longer has been used. It is the remains from the company dormitory. Please don’t enter since it has not been used for some time.

The isle on the right leads to living room. The sign says “Reception is here”. Private viewing event was held on the day we visited.

This is the photo of the living space we shot before the event. It’s neat and very clean since it has just opened.

At the center, symbolic tree of tabicco is standing, growing straight to the ceiling. Pictures of memories here at tabicco is planned to be tied to the tree branch. The idea to resemble pictures as a leaf is very unique!

The room looks bigger from this angle. You can go to the kitchen straight from the living room.

There are 3 cooking stoves and 2 IH plates. You probably won’t feel inconvenient event when the timing of cooking overlaps.

A red pot looks nice in the kitchen. Good thing about share house is that there’s full line up of dishes and cooking items needed for living.

From now on, we would like to follow the people gathered for private viewing.

Seeing it for the first time, they seem to be fully interested at the share house.

People are looking into this shower box. Compared to the ordinary share house, you may get the impression that the dressing space is bigger.

Don’t worry! There is bathtub for those who want to soak in.

Near the entrance is a bathroom exclusively for women.

This is it! The bathtub is wide enough to fit 2-3 people at the same time. Big bath is pleasant to take every day.

Enough viewing the 1st floor, let’s move on to the second floor of private rooms.

The layouts are similar on the third floor but space with bathroom is exclusively for women. Slightly special than the second floor!

And this is the room of the tabicco.

This room is designed as a model room for women.

The wall paper differs in each room so you can pick one of your favorite as long as it’s vacant.

Every room has a closet this big. No worries for people with lots of belongings.

In addition to 3 floors of spaces, there’s rooftop free to use.

Above your head you can see beautiful blue sky of Osaka. They covered up the floor with wood tiles recently. You may enjoy BBQ with your share house family.

Just about the time we finished looking around the tabicco, setting for the event has been completed in the living room.

Beer bottles are lined up. The brands are from all over the world. I see, it’s to travel the world through beer.

Like a wine list, there were lists of the names and character of each beer. You may understand the feeling of drinking local beer when traveling.

The meal served was combination of Osaka and the countries around the world. The base is Takoyaki, the Osaka’s soul food, and there combined different country’s appetites. They were all so delicious and had sold out in a blink of an eye.

Confirming that everybody took a bottle of a beer, along with the toast of manager, opening party begins!

Since some were rare brands, the beer sold out fast, too.

People are strangers but most of them seemed to be friendly. Maybe travel lovers tend to have similar characters.

Taking a seat in the living room, chitchat goes on.

Some guests brought gifts (consumable goods like tissues and detergents) for the opening celebration. Things are very useful at the share house!

At the party, there was a live painting performance.

Painting the message to memorialize the opening of tabicco in a smooth manner with BGM.,

Finished! We took a picture together with the completed work. I didn’t notice there were this many people participating. Party went on with everyone smiling from the beginning to the end.

The white color of this building makes it stand out on the street. The sharehouse is on the second and third floors here.

Paid car and bicycle parking is available in front of the building. The house is in an interesting location near the entrance of an arcade. The perfect Osakan lifestyle without inconvenience awaits.

Natural light streams in through the glass door unobstructed by surrounding buildings.

Light also streams down the hallway. The combination of white color, wooden accents and sunlight bring about a refined atmosphere.

Locked mailboxes, a must-have for residents, are located at the bottom of the stairs outside.

A mailbox for parcels, a rare sight in a one room apartment let alone a sharehouse.

The closest train station to the house is Hanazonocho station. The sharehouse is as close as a 1-minute walk from Exit 2. To get to the house, head north and past Resona Bank on the left. On the left you will see a Matsunoya tonkatsu restaurant. The sharehouse takes up the second and third floor of this building.

A rare layout has the living room opening directly out onto the verandah

On sunny days residents can prepare their food in the kitchen and then carry it on over outside to eat. It’s easy to imagine all of the housemates spending time together out on the verandah every night.

The eastern wall facing the road is all window and makes for happy mornings. These designer chairs are both sturdy and comfortable. Storage boxes are hidden away out of sight beneath the dining table.

To the right of the living room door is the sofa area where residents can relax. What is a sofa without an ottoman? The colorful design of this one adds liveliness to the otherwise simple design of the room. These chairs by the window are always popular on sunny days.

The spacious verandah. Only in a sharehouse can you experience this kind of oasis in the middle of the city. The television and green houseplant decorating this white wall create a picture-perfect scene. A few bird ornaments and hourglasses sit atop the table, adding a bit of high sense and fun to the room. The bathroom, toilet and laundry facilities are conveniently located together, helping to create a stress-free living environment.

There are washing machines and a bathroom in this room, and plenty of space for more than a few people to move about.

A chair at the end of the hallway makes you vaguely feel like you’re in a museum of modern art. The staircase connecting the second and third floors is also quite spacious. There are 4 toilets, two of which are for female use only.

The female-exclusive symbol is easy to recognise. This is the female shower. There are two showers. One is female-only. There is 1 bathroom with a bathtub. That makes 1 bath and 2 showers between 13 residents.

Gaze down at the bamboo grove and across Osaka from the rooftop

The house is situated atop a hill and gives residents a magnificent view of the town below. Escape the common area every once in a while to have dinner or a picnic with your housemates up on the rooftop.

The entrance. A full-length mirror to the right is perfect for one last touch up before leaving the house.

There is a staircase to the left past the entryway. The door in the back is the 1F toilet.

Behind the full-length mirror is a large cupboard to store shoes. The house blackboard. This is a message board as well as a reminder about which days are trash days. There’s something so warm and friendly about chalk, don’t you think? Safety first! This is the biggest security camera I’ve ever seen in a sharehouse, and I’ve been to a lot of sharehouses.

The exterior has also been beautifully renovated. This house is quite a long property from front to back. The view of the bamboo grove from above is very impressive. The sliding door past the entrance leads to the living room. Let’s have a look around.

Living, dining and kitchen combined in a 50m2 oblong-shaped shared area

The dining room consists of three expandable tables that can be easily modified to seat up to 24. The sofas are in the back. Unseen in this photo is the kitchen area on the right.

A beautiful and luxurious dining atmosphere bathed in natural sunlight by day. By night the room lights up the bamboo grove out the window.

The living area is 13.2m2 and has very comfortable sofas. This table seats 4. There is an extra refrigerator as well as storage boxes for residents. The 60-inch large screen TV. It was too big to take a photo head on so here’s a shot from the side.

★Kitchen built skillfully into corner space

The kitchen in front of the dining area. An environment in which one can be aware of their surroundings makes life easier. An efficient house is a good house.

There is even a big pot for those Japanese　‘nabe’

Foodies and weekend chefs will love this sharehouse for its Hosizaki commercial refrigerator.

There is a 3-burner induction cooktop and a portable one, also. All of the tableware. Cookware is also provided. There is no need to buy anything when you move in. There refrigerator and storage boxes. Residents can store personal items in the common area here.

Beyond the living and dining area is the laundry, bathroom and shower room.

The bathroom, laundry and toilet facilities are together in the same area, which I personally find a very functional and efficient arrangement. With all the shared areas on the first floor residents gain both an understanding and respect of each other’s living habits.

There are three stand alone showers. Two are on the 1F, with the 2F shower being female only.

The washstands are also new. There is one on the 1F and one on the 2F, and both are nice and clean. The hair dryer and faucet both have lovely designs. The laundry room. You’ll be glad to know that there are two washing machines, both with drying capabilities. The 1F toilet. There are two toilets on the 1F, and one each on the 2F and 3F.

Room 202. Some rooms have bunk beds to accommodate two residents.

There are 5 rooms on the 2F and 4 on the 3F. All rooms have more than 10m2 of space and a closet. Store all of your items in the closet and use the all of that space the room has to offer.

Room 205 is a bright corner room with light coming in from two windows. This is a single room.

Room 201 is the only Japanese-style room. Having your own room like this is a nice change of pace from the rest of the western-style house.

Each floor has running water of some kind. The door to the left is the toilet. The sink on the 2F. The 2F female-only shower also has a female-only washing machine.

The local train station, Ryokuchi Koen station. You can board the Midosuji line here, the main artery of Osaka’s public transport system.

Ryokuchi Koen is a 9-minute walk from the house. Along the way you’ll find a supermarket, convenience store and other shops and facilities necessary for everyday life. Hankyu Senriyama station is also a 9-minute walk.

Inside Ryokuchi Koen station is a Hankyu OASIS store.

Nearby the station is a Starbucks. This is also good news.

IInside the station. There is a Family Mart convenience store up the stairs to the left. The brown building to the left is the Ryokuchi Koen station building. There is another Hankyu OASIS store on the way to the house from the station, as well as a 100 Yen shop, drug store and electronics shop.

Situated in the Hokusetsu area of Osaka, ABC House Takezono is a high quality sharehouse that will make you want to live there.
